Ques. 1. Who can download the dataset?
- Anybody can make a download request. If the committee approves the request a download request id would be generated and mailed to you. You can then download the datasets with that id.
Ques. 2. Is there any registration fee to register with iSHARE to download dataset?
- Yet to be decided. As of now access is open to all without any charges. (Terms and Condition applied)
Ques. 3. Can I download the dataset for only one site?
- No, You can download all the dataset for which your request has been approved.
Ques. 4. Who can participate in iSHARE?
- Any INDEPTH-network HDSS site can participate in iSHARE. For others it is yet to be decided.
Ques. 5. What is INDEPTH-Network?
- INDEPTH is an international network currently consisting of 31 demographic surveillance system (HDSS) field sites in 17 countries that collectively monitor 1,800,000 people at a household-level. The sites are currently located in Africa and Asia with the majority of sites located in sub-Saharan Africa (see our map). Each site operates in geographically defined populations, and conducts continuous, longitudinal, demographic monitoring, with timely production of data on all births, deaths, causes of death, and migration. This monitoring system provides a platform for the design and evaluation of a wide range of health care innovations as well as social, economic, behavioural and health interventions and research studies.
Ques. 6. Is there any amount involved to participate in iSHARE?
- No. As per the INDEPTH policy you don't have to pay anything to take part in iSHARE. You just need to provide minimal dataset in required format.

- Yes, your data is securedly maintained at Isquareit development server and iSHARE web server. This would be accessed by the authorized persons only.
