The database being described here is the first of a series of multi-centre databases in the project, Multi-centre Analysis of the Dynamics of Internal Migration and Health (MADIMAH). This first database is structured to examine determinants of in- and out-migration, particuarly the education status of the migrant. The second database in the series (forthcoming) will look at mortality as the outcome and migration exposure as co-variate.
